Lee Jong-suk exits 'Lee Seop's Romance' over scheduling conflict
Lee Jong-suk is out of 'Lee Seop's Romance' after a production schedule shift made it impossible to keep him on board, despite his involvement from the planning stage.
Lee Jong-suk will not appear in 이섭의 연애 (Lee Seop's Romance), a project he had been attached to since its early planning phase. A production official said: "The production team and the actor's side discussed schedules to work together until the end, but after amicable consultation, it was decided not to proceed with this project together."
The departure followed an adjustment to the production schedule that made future coordination unworkable. The show will now reorganize its casting before moving into full-scale production.
Lee Seop's Romance is adapted from a popular long-form web novel by author Kim Eon-hee. It exists in the same universe as Kim's other work 태연한 거짓말 (Calm Lies), which stars Lee Jun-hyuk.
