Shin Min-ah, Joo Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, Lee Se-young drama 'The Remarried Empress' drops Nov. 4 with first four episodes
Six years after greenlighting the adaptation, 'The Remarried Empress' — based on a webtoon and web novel with 2.9 billion global views — premieres November 4 with episodes 1–4.
2.9 billion views of source material, six years in the making
The Remarried Empress drops November 4 with its first four episodes all at once. Six years passed between the official greenlight and this premiere. The webtoon and web novel it's based on have accumulated 2.9 billion views globally.
The series screened at the Busan International Film Festival ahead of its wide release.
A cast built to turn heads
Shin Min-ah, Joo Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young lead the show. Lee Bong-ryeon, Choi Dae-hoon, Jung Young-joo, and Park Ho-san round out the ensemble. This lineup has dominated conversation since the project was announced. (Stacking this much name recognition in one production raises expectations that are genuinely hard to meet.)
What comes next from the same author
Author Alphatart's next romance fantasy, Harem of Men (하렘의 남자들), is scheduled to arrive on Netflix next year.
