Lee Jong-suk has withdrawn from the tvN drama 'Lee Seop's Romance' after production schedule changes made it impossible to coordinate with his next project.

Lee Jong-suk is out of Lee Seop's Romance. Ace Factory confirmed the departure, citing a shift in the production and filming schedule that made aligning with his upcoming commitments impossible. "After sufficient discussion with the production team, it was finally agreed not to participate in this work together," the agency said.
He had been involved since the planning stage, set to play Tae I-seop, a third-generation chaebol who has everything figured out except romance. The drama centers on an office romance between Tae I-seop and Kang Min-kyung, adapted from Kim Eon-hee's web novel serialized on Naver Series in 2021. The show exists in the same universe as Calm Lies (태연한 거짓말), which stars Lee Jun-hyuk as Tae Jun-seop, Tae I-seop's cousin. Filming is expected to start before year's end, with release planned for next year.
This mirrors what happened in May, when Park Ji-hoon declined to appear in Promoter, a sports drama about the world's first female promoter and a hardworking boxer. He had been considering the role of Jang Jung-gu, a WBC light flyweight boxer. Actor Park Yun-ho was cast in the part instead.
