MONSTA X released The Phase on September 4. The six-track project moves between different moods across its full runtime.

What 'MAGIC' actually sounds like
"MAGIC" sits on rhythmic guitar and a strong beat. The members' vocals layer delicately over top. Jooheon co-wrote the lyrics, and his sensibility and energy lift the song's overall completeness. (Writing on the title isn't new for him, but worth tracking if you follow his pen credits.)
The group performed "MAGIC" live on KBS 2TV's Music Bank on September 4, the same day as the release.
Year 12
MONSTA X are in their 12th year since debut. Starship Entertainment describes the group as continuing to change and attempt new things without pause. The Phase title presumably reflects that.
