MONSTA X's Joohoney announces September comeback album 'The Phase'
MONSTA X's Joohoney is back with a September solo album. *The Phase* marks his third project since going solo in 2023.
September comeback confirmed
MONSTA X main rapper Joohoney (이주헌) is dropping a new album called The Phase (더 페이즈) in September. His third solo release. It follows mini album LIGHTS from May 2023 and 光 (INSANITY), which came out January 5, 2026.
He announced it via selfie, which somehow became a whole thing about dumplings. "I think dumplings are the best of all foods," Joohoney said. His ultimate goal: launching his own dumpling brand, "Joohoney Mandu" (주헌 만두). (The man knows what he wants.)
170 copyrights and counting
Joohoney has 170 registered copyright compositions. That number says everything about how central he's been to MONSTA X since their 2015 debut with TRESPASS. The group's six members are Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M, all signed to Starship Entertainment.
Since 光 (INSANITY) dropped in early 2026, he's stayed visible. He joined Netflix variety show Love Lab (연애실험실) as a fixed cast member. Before that, in 2023, he appeared on YouTube channel Ddeutddeut's Ppamppam Social Club (빰빰소셜클럽). His dog Sanchez (산체) keeps showing up in his posts too.
The Phase arrives in September.
