Taemin takes the trophy — without being there
Float (플로트) won first place on MBC's Show! Music Core on September 12, 2026. It beat out MONSTA X's Magic and BIGBANG's Big. Taemin didn't show up. He skipped the broadcast entirely and never collected the trophy in person.
Float is one of two double title tracks on his new EP Phase 1: Soft Violence (페이즈 1 : 소프트 바이올런스), released August 31, 2026.
Seoul dates up next
The win came less than a week before his world tour landed in Seoul. Taemin performs at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium from September 18 to 20. Expect Float stages mixed in with his solo material.
