Nam Gyu-ri drops digital album '우.사.그' with two MVs shot in a single day

Nam Gyu-ri is releasing her digital album 우리 사랑 그런 거 해요 — shortened to 우.사.그 — on December 6, with two music videos dropping at the same time.

Two concepts, one shoot day

Shooting both videos in a single day was new territory. "This is the first time in my life I've shot two music videos in one day," she said. "The concepts are completely different, so please have high expectations."

Part.1 leans light—a song that captures "the heart of a woman in love in an endlessly lovely, cute, and joyful way." Part.2 goes the opposite direction. A band arrangement built around longing that goes unrecognized. Dark makeup. Chic styling. A Part.2 teaser dropped on December 5.

The collaborators behind the sound

Violinist KoN reached out directly and came on board for a featuring. Nam Gyu-ri credited that collaboration for lifting the track. Band students from Dongwon University also joined the Part.2 shoot as guest musicians, staying through late hours of filming.

Behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot—including her bob haircut transformation—is already up on her official YouTube channel 귤멍 as Ep.61.

On her pace heading into this release: "I like not resting. I want to keep working. I will sleep in the grave."
