Urban Zakapa drop new single '7' and hit festival stages with Jo Hyun-ah

Urban Zakapa are back with '7'

Urban Zakapa released a new single titled 7. The trio is now playing festival stages and concerts to bring it to live audiences. A photo from September 23 shows all three members—Park Yong-in, Kwon Soon-il, and Jo Hyun-ah—standing side by side on grass under a clear sky at an outdoor venue.

The group debuted in 2009 with the digital single 커피를 마시고 (Main Ver.). Their catalog includes 니가 싫어, 목요일 밤, and Beautiful day. Jo Hyun-ah, 36, wrote and composed both 니가 싫어 and Beautiful day.

Jo Hyun-ah's reach beyond the group

Jo Hyun-ah's work extends well outside Urban Zakapa. She's a member of hip-hop crew Overclass and has featured alongside San E, Verbal Jint, Swings, and Palo Alto. She finished runner-up in the 33rd competition of King of Mask Singer and has appeared on Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook.

She runs a personal YouTube channel called 조현아의 평범한 목요일 밤 (Jo Hyun-ah's Ordinary Thursday Night), posting music stories, daily talk, and live performance footage. (The channel name is a nod to the group's own signature track—make of that what you will.)
