Hyoyeon calls out Yuri's stage makeup on 'Six Sense: B-side,' quips "The more famous you become, the less you wear"
Hyoyeon and Yuri of Girls' Generation unit Hyori-su appeared on tvN's 'Six Sense: B-side' on Oct. 18, trading barbs over makeup and "star disease."

Hyoyeon fires the first shot
Hyoyeon and Yuri sat down with the Six Sense: B-side cast on tvN on October 18. They make up two-thirds of Hyori-su, the Girls' Generation project group. The third member, Soo-young, had a scheduling conflict. Hyoyeon didn't miss a beat: she joked that Soo-young had "caught actor's disease."
Then she turned on Yuri. "After the first stage, the members changed right away," Hyoyeon said. "Everyone seems to have caught star disease." Her proof was simple. Yuri showed up in full stage makeup to what Hyoyeon called a comfortable, casual setting. "It's very burdensome and uncomfortable," she added.
Yuri, the visual center of Hyori-su (Hyoyeon leads and sings main vocal), leaned into it. "I am the visual center after all," she said. "My makeup keeps getting darker — I get self-conscious and end up applying more." She swung back at Hyoyeon: "Why didn't you apply any?"
Hyoyeon's response was the episode's best line: "The more famous you become, the less you wear."
Go Kyung-pyo jumped in. "You are beautiful," he told Yuri, who answered with a hand heart and thanks. Hyoyeon's take: "Worst."
Bibi, a collab, and a mutual appreciation moment
Cast member Bibi brought up a YouTube skit where Yuri told a music broadcast PD, "You should be careful with your words." Bibi called it "so cool." Yuri returned the energy—she's a full fan of Bibi too. She cited how cool it was to watch Bibi curse on stage.
The Hyoyeon-Bibi connection goes deeper than that. Bibi wrote lyrics for Hyoyeon's song Second and featured on it. "The song shined because of her," Hyoyeon said.
Yoo Jae-seok noticed Hyoyeon seemed more relaxed than usual. "She's not being chased," he said. Hyoyeon shrugged: "Now I can attack."
Hong Hyun-hee fills in, Bibi is still hungover
Comedian Hong Hyun-hee stepped in as special MC. Song Eun-yi was absent due to scheduling. Hong woke up at 6 AM for the 9 AM recording and said it felt like "escaping from childcare." She's doing 16-hour intermittent fasting and noted the shoot gave her a good excuse to eat.
Bibi was equally candid: "The broth is really welcome. The alcohol I drank two days ago still hasn't worn off." The first restaurant the cast visited uses a roasted sweet potato drum for barbecue.
