Im Seo-won to join YG Entertainment one month after UNIS disbandment
Im Seo-won, the 15-year-old maknae of now-disbanded UNIS, is joining YG Entertainment a month after the group's final activities on Sept. 26.

Im Seo-won (임서원), the youngest member of now-disbanded girl group UNIS, is headed to YG Entertainment — about a month after the group concluded its official activities on September 26, 2026.
Seo-won is 15 years old, born in 2011. Back in 2020, she caught eyes as an elementary school contestant on TV Chosun's Miss Trot 2, performing Orabeoni and Neon Nae Namja. She later auditioned for SBS's Universe Ticket, which started airing in 2023, and made it into the final debut lineup.
UNIS officially debuted on March 8, 2024 as an eight-member multinational group under F&F Entertainment. The group released debut track SUPERWOMAN, followed by Neoман Molla and SWICY. Just before disbanding last month, they put out remake single Haneultang Byeoltang and digital single Milky Way in quick succession.
F&F Entertainment said the agency had discussed future activity directions with members and decided to end team activities in line with the scheduled contract period. That wrapped roughly two years and six months of group activity.
Seo-won also served as special MC for SBS Inkigayo in 2024 and hosted solo YouTube variety show Hexagonal Idol (육각형 아이돌) last year. Trot prodigy to fourth-gen idol to YG trainee — the pipeline is not what anyone predicted.
