UNIS debut '하늘땅 별땅' stage on M Countdown, kicking off broadcast promotions
UNIS performed their remake of BIBI's 1997 hit on M Countdown September 10—their first time taking the track to a live stage.
UNIS bring a 1997 hit into 2026
Jin Hyunju, Nana, Jelly Danka, Kotoko, Bang Yunha, Alicia, Oh Yuna, and Lim Seowon hit the M Countdown stage on September 10 with their remake of Haneul Ttang Byeol Ttang (하늘땅 별땅). It was their first live performance of the track.
The original came out in 1997 by female duo BIBI. UNIS layered Y2K kitsch over the bright, bouncy melody and wrapped it in a refined K-pop sound. A promotion video released earlier had already caught eyes for the group's retro styling.
What the stage looks like on paper
For the live performance, UNIS reconstructed the original's signature point choreography in their own style and added group formations to amp up the visual impact. (Inheriting a 29-year-old dance and making it yours is a flex, honestly.)
They're using M Countdown as the launchpad for a full broadcast promotion run.
Where UNIS has been
The September comeback follows a packed international stretch. UNIS wrapped their first-ever North American tour in March 2026. July 2026 brought their debut Japanese mini-album UNI☆Sparkle!, which charted in the upper positions on Oricon, Billboard Japan, and USEN.
