Jang Han-byul posts social media video after '불후의 명곡' win
The trot singer won KBS2's '불후의 명곡' with Seong-ri, placed 3rd on MBN's '무명전설' this year, and posted a dimple-smile-and-wink clip on Oct. 18.

From Malaysia chart-topper to domestic TV circuit
Jang Han-byul posted a video to his social media on Oct. 18. Dimpled smile. A surprise wink for the camera. The caption read: "It's raining in Eunhasu today… you worked hard sitting on the ground. I'm a weather fairy — if I'd left earlier, it wouldn't have rained. I'm sorry. I love you."
He's in the thick of a domestic comeback. This year he re-entered the Korean market, finishing 3rd on MBN's trot competition 무명전설-트롯 사내들의 서열전쟁. Then he teamed up with Seong-ri on KBS2's 불후의 명곡 and won. Right now he's on both MBN·채널S 전현무계획4 and MBN 전설의 사내.
The road back: 2011 debut, 2019 Malaysia, 2026 Korea
Jang debuted as the vocalist of Red Apple (레드애플) in 2011. His international breakthrough came in 2019, when he won Malaysia's national audition program 빅 스테이지 and held the top spot on the local music chart for an extended run. That run gave him the credibility he's now cashing in on back home.
(The weather-fairy bit is very on-brand for someone whose fanbase apparently sat through rain for him.)
Two MBN shows running at once. A 불후의 명곡 trophy already on the shelf. The Oct. 18 social post reads less like a standalone moment and more like a check-in mid-sprint.
