Jin Hae-seong premieres self-composed 'Sarang Bit' on TV CHOSUN ahead of Oct 16 release
Trot singer Jin Hae-seong premiered his self-written single '사랑 빛' on 'Miss Trot 4U' ep. 21 on Oct 15, one day before official release.
First look, one day early
Jin Hae-seong brought his self-composed single 사랑 빛 (Sarang Bit) to TV CHOSUN's 미스트롯 포유 episode 21 on October 15 at 10 PM. The track drops officially on the 16th.
The episode featured a special segment called 트롯 별들의 전쟁. Jin Hae-seong performed with cute choreography, and MC An Seong-hoon (안성훈) joined him on stage — turning what could've been a standard promo into something that felt more like a reunion.
The banter was real
An Seong-hoon greeted him with "동기가 돌아왔다" — "a colleague has returned." Jin Hae-seong didn't miss a beat: "아직도 여기 있어요? 진짜 오래 한다" ("You're still here? You've been doing this for a really long time"). On returning to the network, he said: "TV CHOSUN에 오니까 고향에 온 느낌이다. 편안하지만 눈치가 많이 보인다" — comfortable, but hyperaware of every eye in the room.
A deliberate left turn on sound
사랑 빛 breaks from the melancholic material Jin Hae-seong is known for. He wrote and composed it for his fans, and the tone is bright rather than aching. A trot singer who usually makes you cry dropping something you can actually smile at.
Jin Hae-seong won 트롯 전국체전, placed runner-up at 현역가왕2, and appeared on MBN's 미스터트롯2 as 미(美). He plans to stay active through broadcasts, performances, and fan events alongside the October 16 release.
