Jin Sun-gyeol goes full villain in tvN's '100 Days of Lies' — 2 months in Japan, 7 hours of daily script work
Jin Sun-gyeol plays a sinister Japanese colonial official in tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama, which premiered October 10.

The role he's been building toward
tvN's 100 Days of Lies premiered October 10, airing every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM. Jin Sun-gyeol is Sato Shinichiro, the newly appointed Chief Secretary of the Joseon Governor-General's Office. His smiling face hides something far darker.
Two months in Japan. Seven hours a day running through the script. Japanese language lessons to nail the flow and nuance of his dialogue. This wasn't casual prep.
Leaving "Crime City" behind
At the production press conference, Jin Sun-gyeol was direct: "I want to erase Wee Sung-rak from Crime City a bit," he said, naming the role audiences still associate him with. The new villain is his answer to that.
(Seven hours a day of script practice tends to show up on screen—or not, and then everyone notices.)
100 Days of Lies continues its Saturday-Sunday run on tvN at 9:10 PM.
