KATSEYE's 'Gabriela' crosses 1 billion Spotify streams, 484 days after release

Gabriela crossed 1 billion cumulative streams on Spotify on October 16, 484 days after KATSEYE released it on June 20, 2025. The track was a pre-release single from the group's second EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS. A pop song built on Latin-influenced acoustic guitar melodies with Spanish phrases woven between English lyrics, it came with a music video parodying the telenovela format—complete with a surprise appearance by Jessica Alba. As of October 18, that video sits at 97.32 million YouTube views, approaching 100 million.

The chart run behind the number is substantial. Gabriela peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated January 17) and stayed on the chart for 28 weeks. On Billboard's Pop Airplay chart it reached No. 9 and charted for 26 weeks. Globally, it held a spot on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global chart for 64 weeks, peaking at No. 10, and reached No. 38 on the UK Official Singles Top 100.

'WILD' keeps the run going

The billion-stream milestone lands while KATSEYE's momentum from their latest EP is still fresh. WILD, released August 14, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated August 29. Three tracks from the project—PINKY UP, Animal, and Hootie Frutti—entered the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously and each cleared 100 million Spotify streams. Animal did it in 32 days, a new team record.

The group, formed under the HYBE and Geffen Records partnership behind Bang Si-hyuk's "Multi-home, multi-genre" strategy, also picked up two Grammy nominations for the 68th ceremony: Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Gabriela.

Tour schedule

KATSEYE wrapped the European leg of THE WILDWORLD TOUR in September and opened the North American leg in Miami on October 13. Upcoming dates include:
