Kwak Min-kyung addresses "gold spoon" rumors: "My parents gave me a lot of support"
The Tving reality star and model clarified her family background in an October 20 YouTube video, acknowledging generous parental support while denying extreme wealth.

She said yes — then immediately said no
Kwak Min-kyung, model, influencer, and cast member of Tving's dating reality show Hwansungyeonae 4 (환승연애4), addressed fan speculation about her family's wealth in a YouTube video posted October 20 to the channel Minwawa (민와와). The video was titled "From cutting people off to gold spoon rumors... I tried a speculation reading."
Asked whether she was "a princess from an extremely wealthy family," she played along for exactly one sentence before pulling back: "I should say yes, right? Gold spoon, princess, lived in a castle since childhood — I think you'd expect me to say something like that. But I'm not from a very, very wealthy family."
She did acknowledge a comfortable upbringing. "For things I needed or had to do, it seems I received generous support," she said. "Think of it as a case where my parents gave me a lot of support."
The couple's first joint Q&A
Kwak also appeared in the same video alongside Shin Seung-yong (신승용), her boyfriend and fellow Hwansungyeonae 4 cast member. The two have been in a public relationship since May, having met on the show.
Shin confirmed he made the first move, though loosely. "I confessed first. It wasn't 'Please date me, Min-kyung.' I just said 'I like you,' 'I want to date you seriously,' 'I'm grateful to you.'" Technically a confession.
Kwak had been watching other channels do the speculation-reading format and thought it would be fun. She turned on the camera quickly before second-guessing herself.
