Lee Chae-yeon's Japanese debut single 'My Voice' enters Oricon chart on release day
Lee Chae-yeon, former IZ*ONE main dancer, released her first Japanese single 'ボクノコエ(My Voice)' on October 27, 2026. It charted on Oricon the same day.

Oricon entry on day one
Lee Chae-yeon's first Japanese single, ボクノコエ (My Voice), hit the Oricon singles chart on October 27, 2026—the day it dropped. A J-rock track built on electric guitar riffs and live band sound, it marks her opening statement as a solo artist in Japan.
The single pairs it with a Japanese-language version of "No Tears On The Dancefloor," the title track from her fourth domestic mini-album released in April. That one's a retro nu-disco dance pop track about the determination to return to the stage after hardship. Two different moods on one release.
Lee Chae-yeon said: "I am very happy to be able to start music activities in Japan. This title track was created with the thought of conveying my current feelings through my 'voice'."
Three weeks of groundwork before the drop
The release came three weeks after she held a Japanese Debut Commemorative Showcase in Tokyo on October 6, 2026. Day One Dream, her agency, confirmed she'll keep the momentum going through local broadcasts, interviews, and offline events. Broader promotional plans across Japan and Asia follow.
She debuted through Mnet's Produce 48 in 2018 and was IZ*ONE's main dancer and lead vocal. Her first solo album, HUSH RUSH, came in October 2022. "KNOCK" later gave her a chart-reversal moment. She picked up the Rookie UP Award at the 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards. The Japan debut is the next move in a solo arc that has been building for four years.
(Day One Dream on the Oricon result: "Vocal and emotion resonated" — exactly the read you want for a J-rock debut from a K-pop artist.)
