Aestura's Atobarrier365 Cream Just Hit 10 Million Units Sold
The Atobarrier365 Cream from Aestura — Amorepacific's derma skincare brand — crossed 10 million cumulative units sold as of January this year. That number alone says something, but the Olive Young Awards record backs it up harder: the cream ranked first in the cream category two years running, in 2024 and again in 2025.
Aestura sits under Amorepacific and traces its roots back to a pharmaceutical company from 1982, which is part of why the brand leans so heavily into skin-barrier research. The core idea behind the Atobarrier365 Cream is the skin barrier itself — the outermost layer that keeps moisture in and external irritants out — and Amorepacific says they were studying this before derma skincare was even a mainstream category in Korea.

This year the brand ran a TV campaign called "Sincerity is felt through the skin" (진심은 피부로 느낀다), leaning into that research history as the brand story. The Korean Advertising Association recognized it: Aestura is one of six brands receiving the association's 2026 Brand of the Year award, with the ceremony held October 30 at Paradise Hotel in Busan. The award, which the association has given since 2006, goes to brands that have raised customer satisfaction and built brand value through marketing strategy.

For context on what the Olive Young Awards cream category win actually means — that ranking is voted on and tracked across one of Korea's largest beauty retail platforms, so back-to-back first place is not a quiet achievement. The Atobarrier365 Cream is clearly not a one-season hit.

Aestura is also expanding into the US and European markets, so if you've been seeing this cream pop up outside of Korea, that's intentional. The brand is actively pushing international distribution.

If your skin runs sensitive or reactive and you've been skeptical of derma-positioned creams that feel more marketing than formula, the 10-million-unit milestone and two consecutive Olive Young Awards wins are at least a signal worth paying attention to.
