Kim Hee-jae wins back-to-back Trot Music Awards Top 10 in 2024 and 2025

Kim Hee-jae took home the Top 10 Singers Award at the Trot Music Awards in both 2024 and 2025. The honours keep stacking up since her debut year.

Born June 9, 1995 in Ulsan, the 30-year-old signed to T&N Entertainment and officially debuted on March 12, 2020. Awards followed immediately. She picked up the Next Generation Korean Wave Star Award at the 2020 Korean Wave Culture Award and the Hot Trend Award at the 12th Melon Music Awards that same year. The 2021 Korean Image Stepping Stone Award came next.

The back-to-back Trot Music Awards nods ride the wave of her first ballad mini-album Hee-story, released last September. A 2026 nationwide tour concert titled Hee-yeol took her through Seoul, Daejeon, Ulsan, and other major cities.

She's also ventured into musical theatre, cast as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. (Trot singer doing Shakespeare — the range is real.)

On the afternoon of June 27, Kim posted a photo against a pink background with a caption: "음중 끝 내일 만나요" — music program finished, see you tomorrow. Her official fan club, Hee-rang-byeol, has another appearance to mark.
