Kim Se-jeong reflects on I.O.I's 10th-anniversary concert and signs with BH Entertainment

I.O.I held a three-night 10th-anniversary concert at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium from May 29 to 31, reuniting the project group a decade after their debut. Kim Se-jeong placed 2nd on Mnet's Produce 101 Season 1 in 2016 and debuted through I.O.I. She was among the members marking the occasion.

The reunion came with new music. 갑자기 (Suddenly) reached No. 1 on music charts. Kim Se-jeong has since signed an exclusive contract with BH Entertainment, an agency known for actor management.

Her decade since I.O.I covered considerable ground. She served as main vocalist of Jellyfish Entertainment girl group Gugudan. Solo tracks followed: 꽃길 (Flower Path), 터널 (Tunnel), 화분 (Flowerpot). On variety shows, she appeared on 어서옵SHOW, Kim Byung-man's Law of the Jungle, Paik's Street Food, and The Culprit Is You!

Acting became a bigger part of her career over time. She took her first leading role in KBS 2TV's School 2017, followed by OCN's Remarkable Rumor series. The 2022 SBS drama 사내맞선 (Business Proposal) significantly raised her profile as an actress. The BH Entertainment move suggests that's the lane she's leaning into for the next ten years.
