Kim Se-jeong, Bae Hyun-sung & Jo Han-gyeol cast in time-slip romance 'Schoolgirl Queen' for 2027
Studio Dragon's Tving Original 'Schoolgirl Queen' has locked in its three leads. Director Yoon Sung-shik returns after 'Iron Queen' hit 17.4%.
Kim Se-jeong, Bae Hyun-sung, and Jo Han-gyeol are set for 여고생왕후 (Schoolgirl Queen), a time-slip action romance coming to Tving in 2027 from Studio Dragon.
Kim Se-jeong plays Kim Chung-ha, Joseon's greatest warrior and queen consort, who wakes 400 years later trapped in the body of a school-violence victim named Kim Da-jin. She faces down the villains running the school with a queen's dignity and a warrior's instincts. Bae Hyun-sung splits two roles: Sung Won-ju, a bodyguard warrior who pines for Kim Chung-ha, and Sung Si-woo, the kendo club's best fighter. Jo Han-gyeol plays King Lee Nyeong, Joseon's absolute ruler, and Lee Do-yoon, a mysterious transfer student whose bright smile conceals his past. Do-yoon gets caught between Kim Chung-ha and Sung Si-woo and anchors one thread of the story.
Yoon Sung-shik directs. His last project, Iron Queen, peaked at 17.4% viewership.
