Secret returns after 12 years with 'Secret Flavor'; Jeon Hyo-sung breaks down reading fan comments

Secret is back. The group released special mini album Secret Flavor on June 18, 2026, ending a 12-year hiatus.

The lineup has changed. Original members Jeon Hyo-sung and Jing-ger return, joined by new member Yebin — a three-piece unit. Original members Song Ji-eun and Han Sun-hwa did not participate in this album.

On July 1, Jeon Hyo-sung uploaded a video to her YouTube channel 전, 효성입니다 titled "[Tear Warning] Secret's Comeback After 12 Years Celebration! Nostalgia Recall. with 2nd Generation Goods Grand Reveal," in which she read through fan comments on the album release. She cried on camera. "I worried a lot," she said. "Many people supported and waited for us, so my heart feels full."

She noted the comments praising Yebin specifically. "There were many comments praising the new member Yebin, which was nice." She was surprised to feel overseas fans had also been waiting. "My heart was overwhelmed."

The album was 18 months in the making. Jeon Hyo-sung handled directing during recording sessions and said she participated in every stage of the production process. (Her hands-on involvement from start to finish is worth tracking for what comes next.) "Regardless of the results, I'm happy to be able to release an album I can speak about confidently," she said.

She turned the camera on specifically to capture the moment: "I wanted to record the emotions I felt when the album was released to the world and share them with fans."
