Secret returns after 12-year hiatus with mini album 'Secret Flavor' and title track 'ICE CREAM'
Secret's three-member lineup—Jeon Hyo-sung, Jing-ger, and new member Ye-bin—released the 8-track mini album last month, 12 years after the group went on hiatus.
Secret is back. Last month they dropped Secret Flavor, their first project in roughly 12 years.
The lineup now sits at three: original members Jeon Hyo-sung and Jing-ger, plus newcomer Ye-bin. Since debuting in 2009, the group had been dormant for over a decade. Fans have been waiting a long time for this.
Secret Flavor has 8 tracks. "ICE CREAM" leads the charge, with "GET RIGHT" also in the mix. Two rearranged versions of their older songs round out the tracklist—"Madonna" and "Shy Boy" give longtime listeners something familiar to return to. (Revamped classics can either feel essential or like padding; including two suggests they trust the new lineup to stand beside the group's own legacy.) The group is continuing activities through the album and various content releases.
