UNIS drops first Japanese mini album 'UNI☆Sparkle!' with summer title track
UNIS released their debut Japanese mini album 'UNI☆Sparkle!' on July 31, roughly seven months after their second Japanese digital single.
UNIS dropped their first Japanese mini album, UNI☆Sparkle!, on July 31. It came about seven months after mwah…, their second Japanese digital single from December.
The eight-member group—Jin Hyunju, Nana, Jelly Danka, Kotoko, Bang Yunha, Alycia, Oh Yuna, Lim Seowon—included five tracks. Title track GimmeSummer☆. BBYBBY. moshimoshi♡. mwah…. A Japanese-language version of SWICY.
GimmeSummer☆ marks UNIS's first summer song since debut. The track centers on youth caught between love and friendship. Okajima Kanata and Carlos K. wrote and composed it, with choreographer Makita Sako handling performance production.
UNIS partnered with popular Japanese character Ichigo Ichie (一期一会) for the release. A special music video for GimmeSummer☆ featuring Ichigo Ichie character designs arrived with the album.
The group will continue Japan promotions around GimmeSummer☆.
