Kang Hoon, Kim Hye-jun, Cha U-min lead tvN's 'Choeae's Employee' from August 3

tvN's 최애의 사원 (Choeae's Employee) premieres August 3 at 8:45 PM. It adapts the webtoon 우리 오빠는 아이돌 by Sung Eun, which accumulated 660 million views worldwide.

The setup: Nam Da-reum (Kim Hye-jun) is a devoted fan of idol group D.N.X member Lee Chan. She lands a job at Appelo, the fashion platform Lee Chan co-founded with young CEO Kang Ha-gi (Kang Hoon). Her dream of working alongside her favorite idol becomes reality. Kang Ha-gi keeps his feelings locked down at work but has no real romantic experience. Lee Chan, played by Cha U-min, has never known actual love despite being surrounded by fan devotion.

All three leads are making their romantic comedy debut. Kim Hye-jun recently appeared in Disney+'s 킬러들의 쇼핑몰 seasons 1 and 2, establishing herself as one of Korean streaming's most recognizable faces.

"I was worried because it was my first romantic comedy, but the on-set atmosphere was very good," Kim Hye-jun said. Cha U-min leaned on his castmates: "Thanks to colleagues who checked if there were any inconveniences at every rehearsal, I relied on them deeply during filming."

ITZY's Shin Yu-na, Gong Ji-ho, and Kim A-young round out the ensemble as Yoon Cho-i, Park Mi-mi, and Lee Seul-a. The production team released triangle-romance viewing points on August 2.
