Kim Jung-yeon wins Round 3 of SBS Love FM's '인생은 오디션' with '정녕'

Kim Jung-yeon took first in Round 3 of SBS Love FM's 인생은 오디션, with results confirmed on the August 14 broadcast. She performed 정녕 as her life song in the round titled '인생곡 랭킹전.' Back-to-back wins now—she also placed first in Round 2's duet mission.

12 contestants competed over a week, each performing their chosen life song. The eight advancing to Round 4 are Kim Jung-yeon, Ji Young-il, Choi Dae-sung, Park Min-su, Moon Cho-hee, Gong Hoon, Jae-ha, and Song Min-kyung.

"I performed with the hope of just advancing to the next round," Kim said, "and I'm so happy to receive the 1st place call." She credited mentor Geum Jan-di for noticing her work on trot vocalization. It's something she came into the audition actively wrestling with. On what's next: "I will grind my bones to make it into the final rankings."

Round 4 is a '신곡 미션,' where all eight finalists will present original new songs. Those tracks drop August 21 at noon across online music sites. 인생은 오디션, hosted by Lee Sang-mi, airs Monday through Friday at 4 PM on SBS Love FM.
