Miyeon of (G)I-DLE announces first Japanese solo digital single 'RUN AWAY', out August 10

Miyeon, main vocalist of (G)I-DLE, will release her first Japanese solo digital single RUN AWAY on August 10. Cube Entertainment dropped the artwork teaser through (G)I-DLE's official SNS on August 6.
The release comes roughly nine months after MY, Lover, her second solo mini album from November. MY, Lover's title track Say My Name topped QQ Music's bestseller daily and weekly charts in China. Her debut solo mini album MY (2022) produced Drive, which hit No. 1 on domestic music charts and music broadcasts.
RUN AWAY marks Miyeon's first Japanese original song. The success across domestic and Chinese charts suggests the Japanese market is a natural fit.
(G)I-DLE recently wrapped promotions for their ninth mini album We made and its title track Gimme Dat Love. The group is currently running their fourth world tour, 2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation], and is scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza in the United States.
