Yoon Bok-hee's overseas contract banned pregnancy; Koyote, Big Mama, S.E.S. clauses also revealed on Hit Song
KBS Joy's '이십세기 힛-트쏭' dug into contract clauses from Yoon Bok-hee, S.E.S., Big Mama, Koyote, and Ryang Hyun Ryang Ha. Some were shocking.
Yoon Bok-hee's overseas activity contract banned pregnancy and childbirth. KBS Joy's 이십세기 힛-트쏭 (20th Century Hit Song) revealed this alongside other striking idol-era terms.
Yoon joined 'Korean Kittens' at 7 and became a world star. She married at 20. The show framed the pregnancy ban as something she had little choice but to accept.
S.E.S.'s segment tied to '너를 사랑해' surfaced two clauses. Members were banned from leaving their dormitory for private life management. Security personnel were contractually prohibited from private conversation or any physical contact with the group. Leader Bada was the only member permitted to carry a mobile phone.
Big Mama's contract, discussed alongside 'Break Away', went differently. Verbal special clauses banned both plastic surgery and dieting.
Koyote's Kim Jong-min (김종민) joined as a visual member after Cha Seung-min (차승민) left. His agency handed him a 'speech ban' and a 'laughter ban'. He later turned that reputation for unfiltered honesty into a KBS Entertainment Award win. Koyote's 'Passion' also charted on the episode.
Ryang Hyun Ryang Ha's '학교를 안 갔어' came with a 50-50 contract split with Park Jin-young and a clause requiring the duo to never neglect their studies. When schedules forced early departures from school, individual tutoring covered the missed lessons.
이십세기 힛-트쏭 airs every Friday at 8:30 PM on KBS Joy.
