Close Your Eyes and IDID both won the Next Generation Award at the 2026 SPOTV K-POP AWARDS on September 6. Close Your Eyes hinted at new music during their acceptance speech.

Close Your Eyes and IDID split the Next Generation Award at the 2026 SPOTV K-POP AWARDS on September 6, held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The ceremony ran jointly by SPOTV and global fandom platform BIGC used Circle Chart data and global fan voting to rank the acts. It streamed live on SPOTV2, SPOTV PLUS, and Daum from 3 PM with the red carpet.
Close Your Eyes buried the lead in their acceptance speech. "We will be making a comeback soon, so please show a lot of interest in this comeback," the group said. No date was given. This on-stage tease marks the first public signal of new music from the group.
Formed through audition program Project 7, Close Your Eyes officially debuted in April 2025. They moved fast. Their third mini album blackout posted 570,000 first-week copies sold. Cumulative album sales have crossed 1.2 million. Not bad for a group still in their first full year.
IDID is a 7-member boy group under Starship Entertainment. They hit a music broadcast No. 1 just 12 days after dropping their debut album. Their catalog includes FLY!, Attent!on, STEP IT UP, and PUSH BACK.
Accepting the award, IDID said: "I am grateful just to be invited, and it is an honor to receive such a meaningful award." They added: "Thank you so much to the fans who always support us."
