Two months post-breakup, same day, different updates
IU and Lee Jong-suk went public in December 2022 and dated for roughly three years before announcing a split in July. On September 8, both shared updates—separately.
Lee Jong-suk posted vacation photos to his SNS with a wave and rainbow emoji. Nothing else. He has the Disney+ series 재혼 황후 (working title) coming November 4.
IU's bob and what comes next
At midnight on the 8th, IU released concept photos for her new digital single 이 별로부터 on her official SNS. The photos show a bob cut falling just below the jawline. A sharp departure from the long hair she'd been wearing.
The single drops September 10 at 6 PM with two tracks: 이 별로부터 and Dear my crazy soulmate. IU wrote both herself. She's positioning it as an early taste of her upcoming sixth full-length album, which has no release date yet.
