NCT's TEN will throw the ceremonial first pitch at SBS Plus's 특집 불꽃야구 생중계 (Special Fireworks Baseball Live) on September 12 at 5:00 PM at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan. The Fireworks Fighters take on Busan High School—the Fighters' 15th direct-viewing matchup of the season.
La Poem (라포엠) will perform the national anthem before first pitch. The broadcast desk includes caster Yoon Sung-ho in his first appearance alongside commentators Lee Soon-chul and Son Geon-young.
Busan High School by the numbers
Busan High School is no ordinary opponent. Founded in 1947, the school has won 6 Presidential Cup National High School Baseball Tournament titles and 4 Phoenix Cup National High School Baseball Tournament titles. It has sent 134 players to the KBO League since its founding. In 2026, the school swept both halves of the high school weekend league Gyeongnam Division C.
Fireworks Fighters players Jung Geun-woo and Jung Ui-yoon will face their alma mater. Former Lotte Giants slugger Lee Dae-ho is expected to bat fourth for the Fighters. Song Seung-jun, Jung Hoon, and Kim Moon-ho's availability remains unclear. The Fighters had 10 wins on the season as of the September 7 broadcast.
TEN after SM
The first-pitch appearance lands during a packed stretch for TEN. He released solo single OUTWEST on September 4, his first release since ending a 10-year exclusive contract with SM Entertainment on April 8. On September 6, he co-founded creative company Element (일리멘트), which officially launched that same day.
TEN debuted in 2016 on NCT U's first digital single 일곱 번째 감각 (The 7th Sense) and has since been active in WayV and SuperM. "I plan to start new challenges as a solo artist," he said, while confirming he will continue as a member of NCT and WayV.
Planned activities span South Korea, Thailand, China, and the United States. Apparently, the baseball appearance is already on the schedule.
