RIIZE's Japanese single 'Sunburst' hits platinum in Japan with 350K+ shipments
RIIZE's third Japanese single *Sunburst* hit 250,000 shipments in August for Japan Record Association platinum. It's now past 350,000 units.

250K in one month, 350K and counting
RIIZE's third Japanese single Sunburst cleared 250,000 cumulative shipments in August — platinum certification territory for the Japan Record Association's gold disc category. By September, local distributor counts had it above 350,000 units.
The Japan Record Association certifies on monthly cumulative shipments: gold at 100,000, platinum at 250,000, double platinum at 500,000, triple platinum at 750,000, and million at 1,000,000. Sunburst hit platinum inside its first full month.
(Two sources disagree on the release date: topstarnews.net cites August 26, while slist.kr lists July 26. The correct date could not be confirmed.)
Three tracks, three tie-ins
The single holds three tracks. Sunburst, the title, runs on a house-based sound. Rise Over is the theme song for the national high school basketball championship Winter Cup 2026 (SoftBank ウインターカップ 2026). KILL SHOT soundtracks the ending of TV anime キルアオ (Kiru Ao).
On release day, RIIZE held a showcase in Osaka for roughly 1,000 fans. They performed the Sunburst stage — choreography built around free-flowing bounce and footwork. There was a music video detail quiz and production behind-the-scenes talk.
Six morning shows, one train campaign
Six Japanese broadcast programs covered the release: Fuji TV's メザマシ テレビ, NTV's ZIP!, TBS's Wang's Brunch, TV Asahi's Good! Morning, KBC's Asades, and FBS's Barihayat!. NTV called RIIZE "a leading K-pop boy group at the forefront." TBS described them as "the most attention-grabbing boy group right now."
Promotion extended beyond broadcast. A サンバーストレイン (Sunburst Rain) campaign ran across six train lines connected to the sea. A collaboration event with nationwide karaoke brand JOYSOUND is ongoing. Fuji TV's special program #라이바케 -RIIZE VACATION- Season 2, which follows the group's summer vacation, releases new episodes every other Friday.
