KBS2's new Sat-Sun melodrama premieres Sept. 12 at 9:20 PM. Seo Gang-joon and Ahn Eun-jin play 10-year lovers suddenly feeling things they've never felt before.

Six years after When the Weather Is Fine (2020), Seo Gang-joon is returning to a melodrama. The JTBC project was his last centered on the emotional pull between male and female leads. KBS2's 너 말고 다른 연애 (No Other Love) held its production presentation on September 7 at The Saint in D Cube City, Guro-gu, Seoul. Seo Gang-joon, Ahn Eun-jin, Lee Joo-an, Jo A-ram, and director Hwang Seung-gi were there.
The story follows a couple together for 10 years who suddenly start feeling things they don't recognize. Seo Gang-joon plays Namgung Ho, a deputy at Hunmin Confectionery willing to do anything for his lover. Ahn Eun-jin is Lee Mi-do.
At the presentation, Seo Gang-joon talked through building that 10-year dynamic with Ahn Eun-jin:
"At first, I talked a lot with the director and Eun-jin noona. Since we're 10-year lovers, we had to think we know each other completely."
He said that despite both preparing hard, the chemistry arrived naturally on set. "I especially received a lot of help from Eun-jin noona. I thought I could just receive what an excellent actor gives. It was such good chemistry."
Seo Gang-joon also flagged what he sees as the drama's defining quality: silence. "The moments of silence without dialogue are the most important in this work," he said. Characters' inner thoughts and what they actually say are often different. Those unspoken feelings are buried in pauses and nuance, unfolding later in the story. (He's essentially asking viewers to read between the lines — every quiet scene is a clue.)
No Other Love airs its first episode on September 12 at 9:20 PM on KBS2.
