TUIDE's 'GRLS' choreography video charts on Spotify Global Music Video Chart for two consecutive weeks
TUIDE's B-side 'GRLS' hit Spotify's Global Music Video Chart twice running, Apple Music Korea top 4, and nearly 80K TikTok videos.
'GRLS' keeps climbing after the choreography drop
TUIDE posted a choreography video for GRLS on September 20. The numbers tell the story. Their Meet my GRLS, TUIDE performance video—which came first—had already landed on Spotify's Global Music Video Chart for two consecutive weeks and ranked in the top tier of YouTube Korea's Trending Music list.
On audio, GRLS peaked at No. 6 on Instagram Reels' Trending Audio. TikTok videos using the track were approaching 80,000 as of September 20. The song also appeared on Melon's Hot 100 and on real-time charts for Bugs and Genie, reaching No. 4 on Apple Music's Top 100 Today: South Korea.
The title track SUN KISS sits at No. 1 on that same Apple Music chart.
Seven teenagers, one new HYBE label
TUIDE—Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Gia, Saki, Sea, and Lee Haneul—debuted under HYBE's new label ABD as the label's first girl group. All seven are in their teens, born between 2006 and 2011. They come from South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan.
Their debut album TUNE & PLAY dropped on August 24. The concept is "Soultronic"—soul music's warmth blended with electronic production's polish. A rookie group with a genre portmanteau baked into the rollout is either very confident or very well-briefed; the chart run suggests the former.
GRLS is a B-side on TUNE & PLAY. Two consecutive weeks on Spotify's Global Music Video Chart is a notable result for a non-title track.
