Lee Hi and Dok2 drop 'KAI' MV on their joint label 808 HI Recordings

Couple drops 'KAI' on their own label

Lee Hi and Dok2 released the music video for KAI on October 31 via the YouTube channel 808 HI Recordings — the hip-hop and R&B label they co-founded in March. Lee Hi announced it on SNS the same day: "KAI free release on 808HI YouTube, I'm going to monitor it too!"

The drop came about seven months after they went public. They'd been dating since 2022, but March was when they confirmed it on social media. Dok2 posted a photo with Lee Hi captioned "TO MY LADY." Lee Hi called him "내 하나뿐인 도끼" (my one and only Dok2) and "MY MAN DOK2." That same month they released the duet You & Me and launched 808 HI Recordings together.

From a 2016 MBC collab to a shared label

Their history runs deeper. In 2016, they met on the MBC Infinite Challenge hip-hop project, where Lee Hi featured on "처럼" (Cheoreom) alongside Yoo Jae-suk and Dok2. Dok2 was born in 1990. Lee Hi in 1996. Six years between them.

Since going public, they've been open about the relationship offline too. At the Super Concert: Special in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Dok2 knelt on stage, held Lee Hi's hand, and performed a serenade. Lee Hi posted SNS photos of cookies labeled with both their names. The two looking at each other inside a car against a sunset. Shots from a trip together. For a couple who kept things quiet for roughly two years, they're not holding back now.
