MODYSSEY drop first EP six months after 300K-copy debut

Three trophies, 300K copies — now a first EP

MODYSSEY released their first EP, MODYSSEY The 1st EP 2.Multitude: How We Bloom, on October 12, six months after the seven-member group debuted in April with the single 1.Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony. That debut single cleared 300,000 copies in first-week sales. The title track is 타! (CAN YOU HEAR THAT).

Members said: "We want to surpass our previous initial sales record with this album. We returned with music that is good to listen to and trendy."

The debut year has already been busy on the awards circuit. MODYSSEY picked up three trophies: the Global Rookie Award at the Seoul Music Awards, KM SPOTLIGHT at the KMA, and the Global Connect Award at the SPOTV K-POP AWARDS. A triple crown before their first EP even dropped.

From Osaka to LA to Seoul

The group performed at KCON JAPAN 2026 and KCON LA 2026, and also held performances in Chinese-speaking regions. Their 2026 MODYSSEY FAN CONCERT TOUR HOW WE BLOOM opened in Osaka and Yokohama, Japan, before landing in Seoul on October 10 at MHLIVEHALL (명화라이브홀). The Seoul show served as the live premiere of 타! (CAN YOU HEAR THAT) ahead of the official release.

At the Seoul concert, the members said: "It feels like a dream that we debuted in Korea and held our first fan concert in Seoul." They added they intend to perform in venues two to three times larger going forward. (Six months in, the bar they're setting for themselves is not small.)

On the new music, the group said they hope 타! (CAN YOU HEAR THAT) "becomes a song that people want to save in their playlists" and that it finds listeners beyond their existing fanbase.

MODYSSEY's seven members are 헝위 (Hengyu), 판저이 (Fanzai), 리즈하오 (Lizhao), 린린 (Linlin), 수런 (Suren), 이첸 (Yichen), and 로완 (Rowan).
