Soda Mi's '묵찌빠빠' Hits 2M YouTube Views as Donation Challenge Rolls On
Soda Mi's July single '묵찌빠빠' hit 2 million YouTube views. Now she's playing rock-paper-scissors with fans and donating money in their names.

2 million views and a challenge that won't quit
Soda Mi's digital single 묵찌빠빠, released in July, has crossed 2 million views on YouTube. The milestone came a few months after a fan challenge tied to the track wrapped up in September.
A second campaign is running now. Soda Mi meets citizens in person, plays rock-paper-scissors with them, and donates money in the name of whoever wins. No app. No hashtag. Just a match and a donation receipt with your name on it.
From pageant stages to a debut single
Soda Mi built her public profile through competition circuits before pivoting to music. She took the Classical section (善) at the 2025 Miss Universe Korea Season 2 contest, then won the Truth (眞) category at both the 11th International Super Queen Model Contest and the 2nd Asia Beauty Model Awards. She also appeared on TV Chosun's 더 위대한 유산 before releasing 묵찌빠빠 as her first digital single in July.
(The rock-paper-scissors donation format is genuinely novel — hard to fake engagement when you're handing over a check in someone's name.)
The MV is past 2 million views. The donation challenge is active. 묵찌빠빠 is still generating attention well into its third month.
