MONSTA X's Kihyun announces July 7 solo comeback with mini album 'BORDERLINE'

MONSTA X main vocalist Kihyun is coming back July 7 with his new mini album BORDERLINE.

A 14-second teaser dropped June 21 at 10 PM on MONSTA X's official YouTube channel. The clip opens on an airport set, cycling through "KIHYUN AIRLINES" text, an aircraft crossing a blue sky, and check-in counters. It threads directly back to his 2022 solo debut single VOYAGER and the traveler concept he carried into his first mini album, Youth.

Two tracks are already confirmed: Howling and Lazy Day. Kihyun flagged the vocal difficulty himself. "One concern is that it's too difficult for me to sing," he said. "The difficulty level is different from previous songs." He's still backing the project hard: "I'm confident that even people who aren't MONBEBEs will like it."

(A main vocalist warning fans the songs are hard to sing is either a flex or a cry for help — probably both.)

Further details will roll out through official SNS ahead of the July 7 date.
