HIVE's TUIDE debuts with mini-album 'TUNE & PLAY' and showcase at YES24 Live Hall

TUIDE held their debut showcase on August 24 at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Their first mini-album TUNE & PLAY dropped the same day.

Seah, Elena, Seoyeon, Gia, Seohee, Saki, and Ihaneul make up the seven-member group. They're the inaugural act on ABD, a girl-group-focused label under HIVE Music Group. The name TUIDE comes from "Tune the tide"—a way of harmonizing each member's distinct musical color into a single rhythm.

TUNE & PLAY has five tracks. The title track "SUN KISS" pairs soul with electronic sound in what the group calls a "soultronic" style, built around their individual personalities. The album released at 6 PM across music platforms. A fan showcase followed at 8 PM at the same venue, hosted by broadcaster Shin A-young.

The "SUN KISS" music video and an exclusive preview clip went live simultaneously on the mega media facade at Shinsegae Square—the main branch of Shinsegae Department Store in Jung-gu, Seoul. The screening runs through September 25. The department store will also air special announcements recorded in the members' voices.

Seah said at the showcase: "I'm excited to make my long-dreamed debut. I will delight your eyes and ears with refreshing performances." Saki, who dreamed of debuting in Korea since childhood, promised "solid and cool performances on stage." Gia plans to bring "intense eyes" on stage while showing "bright energy like a puppy" off it. Seohee, the eldest member, said she would show "the image of an older sister who handles everything neatly."
