Jung So-min shares firm dating philosophy in Bali vlog: "Non-existent love does not come into being"

Bali, honeymoon vibes, and a very specific take on love

Jung So-min's YouTube channel ssomday uploaded a Bali travel vlog on the 5th — titled 먹고 (먹)기도하고...뭐였더라｜발리 여행ep.1 — and she delivered one of the more quotable takes on romance you'll see in a travel video.

She went to Bali, Indonesia with a friend. At the resort, the two took in the heart decorations, outdoor bathtub, and pool. Jung So-min remarked, "This place is so much like a honeymoon." The next morning, eating breakfast against a scenic backdrop, she softened: "Even non-existent love will come into being."

Then she reversed course entirely.

"Non-existent love does not come into being. Small love can grow, but non-existent love does not come into being."

The about-face got a laugh. She played a balance game — "going to heaven with someone you dislike" vs. "going to hell with someone you like" — and picked the latter without hesitation. Her philosophy boiled down to this: "Who you are with is important. Even if we're just pitching a tent on a deserted island, it's fun if we're together."

Suluban Beach and the relationship history behind the headlines

The vlog also included Suluban Beach, where Jung So-min called the view "unbelievable" and said it was her first time visiting a place like it.

The dating-philosophy angle is drawing attention partly because of her public relationship history. She and actor Lee Joon met on the 2017 KBS2 drama 아버지가 이상해 and developed a romantic relationship, officially confirming it in January 2018. They broke up in 2020 after roughly two and a half years of public dating.
