Kim Gyujong attends Manji Studio's Fashion Code 2027 S/S show, marks 15 years as a solo artist
SS501's Kim Gyujong walked the Fashion Code 2027 S/S show on Oct. 17, fresh off his September single 'Simply Beautiful.'

Kim Gyujong at Fashion Code 2027 S/S
Kim Gyujong posted a photo from the Fashion Code 2027 S/S event on October 17, standing in front of the photo wall at the Manji Studio show. His caption was direct: "Thank you Manji Studio for inviting me to such a wonderful show." He also praised the lineup. "I was happy with the wonderful performance by Daybreak members."
The timing matters. Gyujong is marking his 15th anniversary as a solo artist. Sold-out concerts, a YouTube channel, acting work across Korean and Chinese productions, an ongoing unit — the résumé keeps growing.
From SS501 to FIVE O ONE
He debuted with SS501 in 2005 as sub-vocalist, sub-rapper, and lead dancer. "SS501's eternal center" is how he billed himself. Later came the unit Double S 301. Now he's active through FIVE O ONE, which released Set It Off in March and ran a world tour hitting Seoul and several overseas cities.
On the solo side, Simply Beautiful dropped September 10 — a calm, comfort-focused track. His 2017 concert run at Hongdae's Rolling Hall (Between Spring and Summer, three shows, all sold out) and a second 2017 solo concert at Olympic Park's Muse Live Hall (Spring TO Winter, also sold out) remain benchmarks of his live career.
The longer résumé
Gyujong's acting work started in 2006 with the lead role in Break. He played Na Ho-sik in Seti in 2009. His filmography includes Pianissimo, SOS Save Me, Start Love, and the Chinese web drama 28 Moons. Variety fans know him as "Sikshin Junior" — a nickname from his regular stint on Sikshin Expedition for his mukbang output. He opened a YouTube channel in 2021 for music videos, daily vlogs, and variety-style content. In 2025 he appeared as a guest on a program alongside Kara's Park Gyuri and Heo Young-saeng.
Fifteen years in and the man is still booking fashion shows, dropping singles, and touring.
