PUBG: Battlegrounds x IVE collab brings 'LOVE DIVE' into the Rondo map
Krafton announced a global IVE collaboration on Oct 27. Character skins, a themed map space, and a rearranged 'LOVE DIVE' track drop November 1.
'LOVE DIVE' lands in Battlegrounds on November 4
PUBG: Battlegrounds is running a global collaboration with girl group IVE around their signature track LOVE DIVE. Krafton announced it on October 27. The collab spans video content and in-game content across four categories: character, space, music, and emote.
A teaser image went out on October 21. Key art dropped on the 27th. That same day at 6 PM, a teaser trailer aired featuring the Rondo map theme space and select collaboration items.
The main trailer comes November 1. All six IVE members appear in it, recreating the costumes and concept from the LOVE DIVE promotional period. The video also marks the first release of a newly arranged track combining the original song with Battlegrounds music.
What's actually going into the game
Inside the Rondo map, Krafton is building a themed space that recreates key scenes and atmosphere from the LOVE DIVE music video.
Character appearances are modeled on the faces of all 6 IVE members. Costumes and accessories come with them. Emotes are based on IVE's existing popular songs and their October new song.
PC players get the content on November 4. Console players follow on November 12.
A Krafton official said the team "planned this collaboration to combine IVE's sensibility and Battlegrounds' gameplay to provide users with a fresh experience." Six member skins in one drop is not nothing.
The company added that it hopes players will "experience IVE's charm from multiple angles through the new themed space, character skins, and exclusive emotes in the game."
