Gong Seung-yeon Is the New Face of Derma Brand Jenabel

Sofia Reyes·8/8/2026, 5:11:09 PM

Gong Seung-yeon just landed a brand ambassador deal with Jenabel, a derma cosmetics label built around PDRN-based skincare. The campaign slogan is "Eonjena Jenabel" — roughly "Always Jenabel" — and the brand is rolling out content with her across multiple channels.

If you're not familiar with Jenabel yet: it's a clinic-and-pharmacy-first brand, distributed through roughly 40 pharmacies and 60 clinics nationwide, plus a presence in 26 countries. The PDRN angle is the core of the line — polynucleotide-derived ingredients that have been a fixture in Korean dermatology clinics for skin repair and barrier work, now showing up in take-home skincare.

The bigger news for anyone heading to Busan: Jenabel is running a pop-up inside Bluelab Pharmacy in Gwangalli, open through August 30. It's not a standard retail setup — there's a product test zone, a lucky draw, and interactive games inside.

Practical notes before you go: hours are 3PM to 11PM, and the pop-up is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Walk-in visitors get product gifts and purchase-tier perks, so it's worth timing a visit around a proper browse rather than a quick drop-in.

The Gwangalli location is a smart call for a pop-up — it's one of Busan's most-visited coastal strips, so foot traffic is built in. If you're doing a Busan trip and already planning beach time in that area, this is a low-effort add-on that actually lets you test the products rather than just buy blind.

The brand's existing distribution through clinics and pharmacies means the formulas have already been vetted in a medical-adjacent context — the pop-up is essentially the brand's first real consumer-facing experiential moment, which makes it a more interesting stop than a standard brand store.

Gong Seung-yeon as the face makes sense for the positioning: she reads clean, approachable, and credible without leaning into the heavy-glam direction that wouldn't fit a derma-first brand. The "always" slogan is clearly going for everyday skincare loyalty rather than a single hero product push.

If you're a PDRN-curious skincare person who's been seeing the ingredient everywhere in clinic menus but hasn't tried it in a retail format, this pop-up is genuinely the right place to start — you can test before committing, and the staff context (it's inside a pharmacy) means you're more likely to get a straight answer than a sales pitch.
